global goals jam 2018

global goals jam 2018

Last year we organized a local edition of the second Global Goals Jam. In Betahuis, Heerlen we jammed with twenty local designers and presented our prototypes. Partners were Groener Gras, Betahuis, Stadslandbouw MSP and iARTS.

On September 21 and 22 we will organize our second local jam, as part of the third global jam. This time our partners are Cube Design Museum and Maastricht Academy of Media Design and Technology (MAMDT).

Location is Cube Design Museum in Kerkrade.

Global Goals Jam is an initiative by The United Nations Development Programme and Digital Society School. This is the third edition of the Global Goals Jam, a worldwide event focussing on design interventions for the Sustainable Development Goals that have been defined by the United Nations in 2015. Around 70 cities are joining the jam.

The idea behind the jam is the belief that interdisciplinary teams can boost their creativity by using design methods, in the value of sharing and building on each others’ knowledge, in agile and iterative design and in tackling big (global) issues by taking small (local) steps.

The jam is open for both experienced and inexperienced designers, also people from other disciplines are more than welcome to join.

More info about the Global Goals Jam can be found here: www.globalgoalsjam.org.

Want to join? Book your ticket here (it’s €10, but the two lunches are included): https://lnkd.in/eYaJks2.
